DURBAN, South Africa - Romance was the order of the hour for the 16th Annual Metro FM Music Awards held at the iNkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in South Africa this past weekend. Television and radio host Khanyi Mbau gave the black carpet a dose of dreaminess in a pink strapless tulle dress replete with cascading ruffles. Encrusted with a diamond waistband and matching choker, glittering Mbau was every bit a vision. In a similar color palette, actress Ntando Duma was flawless in a plunging beaded bodice and full skirt by Durban-based brand 96th Avenue while Best Female Album winner Kelly Khumalo gave her twist on pastels in a sheer paneled lavender gown. Musician Arthur Mafokate made a case for the statement printed suit paired with a simple mandarin-collar button-down shirt. Lastly, Bonang Matheba looked divinely dark in a black-and-gold bespoke sequined dress by favorite designer Gert-Johan Coetzee. An evening with the best dressed for South Africa's biggest night in entertainment.
